Matthias Nerlich

Profession: ProducerWriter
Country: Germany
As a boy Matthias life was all about the 80ies action-heroes. While visiting a stunt-show in Hollywood, in an instant, the 10year old realized, that he'd be seeking salvation in the entertainment business. In 2009, after studying production at the German Film- and Television Academy Berlin, he founded the LITTLE KONG FILMS GmbH, Berlin - a second presence under the name SÜDHANG FILMS GmbH in Munich followed in 2012. After meeting writer Milica Zivanovic at the EAVE 2014 workshop, the two co-wrote the script of SHOWTIME, a family-entertainment film for the German market. TURBO is the second endeavour of the two writers as well as a project of a development slate with SENSE Production Belgrade. Currently the companies are in production of the Webseries STICHTAG with Grimme-award winner Christof Pilsl and in advanced development of a dark FARGO-esque drama-series UNTERLAND as a joint venture with German production house, TV60. Matthias passion and ambition lies in bold, high-concept European genre that can transcend borders in national and international appeal and impact across platforms.
