Fiona Ziegler
Fiona Ziegler was born in Basel, Switzerland. She has a BA in literature and history from the University of Fribourg and Bologna and worked as a freelance journalist and later as assistant director at the theatre Hebbel in Berlin. After a course in Method Acting at the Lee Strasberg Theater & Film Institute in NYC, she finished her studies in international relations in Geneva (IHEID), before studying directing at the Prague Film Academy (FAMU). Her graduation film Thank You Ben (2016) was shot in collaboration with the Sapir College in Israel. She released her debut fiction Lost in Paradise (2021), both in the Czech Republic and Switzerland. This first Czech-Swiss co-Production is a tragic-comedy, taking place in Switzerland and Prague. Fiona Ziegler was member of the MIDPOINT editing room (2020) and is currently working on her first feature length documentary “Signs of Friendship - Heidi Auer and Ingeborg Bachmann”. She lives in Prague (CZ) and Bern (CH).
