The three-day workshop, taking place October 19-23, 2026, in Prague, will introduce participants to the fast-evolving world of generative AI and its potential use in creative development. Through hands-on exercises, discussions, and experiments, they will learn to work with AI tools in a way that supports — rather than replaces — human imagination.

Participants will gain a practical understanding of AI tools, their potential, while also tackling ethical questions surrounding this new technology. The workshop is designed to help screenwriters and creative producers to develop their own personal “AI toolkit” — a set of strategies for integrating these tools into daily creative practice.

Guided by Experts

The program will be led by three inspiring tutors, each bringing a distinct perspective on storytelling and innovation:

Gerhard Maier (Germany) – Artistic Director of the Seriencamp Festival and Conference and co-founder of Germany's first festival dedicated to series production, who now focuses intensively on workshops and lectures regarding the impact of generative AI on storytelling.

Katri Manninen (Finland) – Award-winning Finnish creator known as "The Most Artificially Intelligent Screenwriter," who teaches filmmakers how to practically utilize AI tools while preserving their unique human voice.

Markus Walsch  (Germany) – AI strategist, creative consultant, and creator of strategic tools who helps bridge artificial intelligence with human creativity and leads workshops for leading media outlets and universities.

Together, the participants and tutors will explore what happens when human imagination meets artificial intelligence — questioning, experimenting, and shaping a thoughtful, creative approach to the tools that are already changing our industry.
