Ravi Joghee is an Indian-born writer-director based in the Netherlands. Born in the Nilgiris, South India, to Badaga tribal parents, he brings a deeply personal and politically aware perspective to stories about migration, displacement, identity, power and human dignity. Before establishing himself in the Netherlands, Ravi gained more than 15 years of experience in Bollywood and Kollywood, working across multiple formats of filmmaking and developing a strong understanding of both craft and production.
His short films include “Dear Thief“ and “I’m Kamala”. He is also the writer of several short scripts, including “WOW – War of Wombs”, “SOS – Spirits of Sand” and “Crows of Color”. His new feature script, “12 Grapes”, expands his cinematic language into an ambitious refugee story set in Europe, combining lived experience, social urgency and a distinctive visual imagination.
