1989

Historical series about the events of 1989 as seen through and experienced by the employees of Radio Free Europe. In each episode we go to a different country (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania) to witness the historical changes from the perspective of intimate human stories. The frame of the series are the RFE characters – international mix of journalists, dissidents and spies. At the beginning of the season they are all hoping for the great change, by the end of it each of them needs to face the consequences of the new political reality.
