Vladimir Petev

Vladimir Petev was born in 1985 in Sofia, Bulgaria. He graduated from the Russian State University of Cinematography (VGIK) with a Master’s degree in Directing of fiction films in 2010. Since, he has worked as a director and scriptwriter of short films; director of TV series, commercials and videos. In 2011, he is selected to take part in Berlinale Talents. In 2014, Vladimir established his own production company, Pause Films, specialized in creation of shorts and various visual content. He gained experience in film production with his role as a first assistant director of many films and TV series both in Bulgaria and abroad. In 2016, Vladimir’s short film DOG, financed by the Bulgarian National Film Center, won the Best Short Film award of the 34th Golden Rose Bulgarian Feature Film Festival. In 2019, Vladimir took part in Sarajevo Talents.
