Human Instinct

Two young people meet while hitchhiking. XAVERY (26) feels lost and is looking for his place in the world. Anxious and depressed, he is thinking about suicide. REBEKA (23) is an environmental activist who awakens in him a new zest for life. Her activism inspires and infects him. Xavery reveals his compassion for animals, and eco-activism becomes an existential issue of life and death for him. Motivated by the faith in a world without animal suffering, he becomes blind to Rebeka's love who is experiencing great changes caused by her pregnancy. Ultimately Xavery has to decide: should he sacrifice himself for the sake of environmental activism or take the responsibility as the future father of the child she expects.
