Tonya Atanakova is a graduate of New Bulgarian University with a Bachelor’s degree in Cinema and TV Arts. As a multidisciplinary creative and writer, she works at the intersection of storytelling, strategy, and culture.
As Executive Partner at Grey Pigeon Studios, she co-leads an initiative to democratize filmmaking in Bulgaria by building affordable film studio spaces for emerging filmmakers. Her role as Marketing Expert at Up Tombou has refined her ability to connect people to meaningful services.
Through her work with Sofia Meetings at the Sofia International Film Festival, she has helped bridge new voices in cinema with opportunities for international growth and collaboration for more than 5 years now. Committed to telling authentic, culturally resonant stories and fostering creative communities, Tonya brings both passion and expertise to every project she leads.
