Nia Marinova is a filmmaker, production designer, and studio owner based in Sofia, Bulgaria, with a passion for creating space - both physical and metaphorical - for young film creatives to thrive. She holds a BA in Media Production from Coventry University, UK, where she specialised in Cinematography, and an MA in Filmmaking with a specialisation in Production Design from the renowned Whistling Woods International in Mumbai, India.
Blending her international education with a strong vision, Nia is the founder and CEO of Grey Pigeon Studios, a soundstage film studio dedicated to nurturing emerging talent in the Balkans. The studio aims to serve as a creative and learning playground for aspiring filmmakers, scenographers, and visual storytellers, offering hands-on experience in all facets of film production.
