Khaled is a Syrian - Swedish writer and screenwriter whose work moves between literature, film, and memory, tracing questions of exile, desire, and belonging. He founded the first Creative Writing course in Arabic at the University of Gothenburg and works across Europe as a cultural consultant, editor, and artistic director, supporting voices from the Arab world in exile. His books Selamlik and Gateway to the Sea have been translated into multiple languages, and his writing has been recognised by PEN America, the Sundance Film Writing Lab, and Swedish National Radio. He lives and works in London now.
