SELAMLIK
Two former lovers from Syria, separated by war and time, reunite 12 years later in the historic city of Cordoba.
Twelve years after Furat fled Syria, leaving both his homeland and his lover Pierre behind, they reunite in Córdoba. Furat hopes to reignite their relationship, while Pierre is conflicted. The film unfolds in two timelines. One follows their tense and intimate weekend in Cordoba, where unhealed wounds and unanswered questions surface. The other moves backward through their relationship in Damascus, beginning with their painful farewell as Furat flees the country, and ending with the night they first met - at the rise of the Arab Spring, when love and freedom still felt possible. As past and present collide, both men must confront who they are, who they’ve become, and whether love can survive what they’ve been through.
