Karol Marczak (born 1995) earned his B.A. in Screenwriting at the National Film School in Łódź in 2022. Short films he had written were screened at both low-key and A-class film festivals. In 2020, he was awarded a Polish Film Institute Screenwriters Grant. He also earned a B.A. in Liberal Arts at Warsaw University in 2017. Already in his college years (2015-2019), he had been a journalist with Newsweek Polska, a weekly news magazine. As a teenager, he went to an International Baccalaureate high school, where he felt most utterly alone in his life, but also found love and friendship that keep him alive to this day. The story told in his script is a fictionalized reminiscence of these times and feelings.
