Josef Kokta is a screenwriter and script editor working across film, television, and audio. A graduate of FAMU in Screenwriting and Dramaturgy, he also studied Journalism, Political Science, and Film Theory and History. His short film 3 MWh (2024) premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in the Tiger Short Competition and screened at festivals worldwide. His film The Tower (2025) reached the semi-finals of the Student Academy Awards. Both projects were nominated for the Magnesia Award for Best Student Film at the Czech Lion Awards. Alongside film, Josef has created acclaimed audio projects including Darkeři (2025), Prohnilí (2022), and Umění padělat (2023).
