Inside the Aftermind
In 1960s Czechoslovakia, psychiatrists pioneering LSD therapy push the boundaries of the human mind, while political pressure, ambition, and paranoia slowly tear their clinic apart.
In 1960s and 70s Czechoslovakia, a group of psychiatrists begins pioneering research into LSD, believing it can unlock the depths of the human mind and transform the treatment of trauma. Anna, Viktor, and Štěpán enter this experimental world with the hope of advancing psychiatry beyond its limits.
Each episode follows a different patient whose experience with LSD reveals buried memories, suppressed emotions, and moments of painful clarity. As the research progresses, the line between treatment and harm begins to blur, forcing the doctors to confront not only the risks of the method, but also their own changing beliefs, ambitions, and moral limits. What began as a shared scientific mission slowly turns into a deeply personal journey that tests their identities, relationships, and the cost of trying to understand the human mind.
