Apolena Rychlikova
Apolena Rychlíková (b. 1989, Brno) is a Czech investigative journalist, commentator, and documentary filmmaker. She is the editor-in-chief and co-founder of Page Not Found, an independent media platform launched in 2024. Her work focuses on social justice, gender issues, labor rights, and sexual violence. In 2021, she became the first Czech journalist nominated for the European Press Prize.
She collaborates long-term with leading Czech media, including Czech Television and Czech Radio. Her latest film, Limits of Europe (2024), premiered at CPH:DOX and screened at major festivals such as Hot Docs. Limits of Work (2017) won the Czech Film Critics’ Award and Best Czech Documentary at the Ji.hlava IDFF.
She co-authored PIKO: Junkies’ Lives Matter (2022), which won Best Documentary Book at Ji.hlava 2023, and Věčná devadesátá, nominated for the Magnesia Litera Award. Rychlíková teaches at the Documentary Department of FAMU in Prague.
