MIDPOINT alumni continue to make an impact
MIDPOINT alumni behind an Academy Award-winning documentary
Radovan Síbrt, alumnus of MIDPOINT Feature Launch 2017 and MIDPOINT Cold Open 2021, served as one of the producers of Mr. Nobody Against Putin through his production company PINK. The Danish-Czech documentary won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.
The film offers a powerful look at Russian propaganda through the eyes of elementary school teachers.

Feature Launch alumna premieres at Berlinale
Kosara Mitić, alumna of MIDPOINT Feature Launch 2017, premiered her feature film at Berlinale in the Perspectives section. The film also secured international sales with Paris-based Totem Films.
The story follows seventeen-year-old Sara, who witnesses her friend Lina being sexually assaulted during a school trip.
Congratulations on this outstanding debut and its international recognition.
Strong results for MIDPOINT alumni at the Czech Lion Awards
Dagmar Sedláčková, alumna of MIDPOINT Feature Launch 2015, MIDPOINT Intensive CZ 2020 and MIDPOINT Series Launch 2022, won the Best Film Award at the Czech Lion Awards as producer of Caravan. Jakub Viktorin, alumnus of MIDPOINT Feature Launch 2014, MIDPOINT Shorts 2011 and 2013, and MIDPOINT Intensive SK 2023, served as co-producer of the film. With this win, Dagmar Sedláčková became the fifth female producer to receive this recognition in the history of the Czech Lion Awards.

We are also proud of MIDPOINT Intensives CZ 2024 alumna Natália Pavlove, whose film Dog and Wolf won the Best Short Film Award and the Magnesia Award for Best Student Film.

Support from the Czech Audiovisual Fund for films
We are delighted to congratulate our alumni projects that received production support in the first-ever call of the new era of the Czech Audiovisual Fund.
Two outstanding projects are now moving closer to the big screen:
In Good Faith (V dobré víře), developed at Feature Launch 2025, is the debut feature of director Anna Wowra and screenwriter Alžběta Gertli, produced by Julie Soffer and Tomáš Pertold / Perfilm.
The Stones Are Rolling to Prague (Kameny se valí do Prahy) marks the second fiction feature as director for MIDPOINT Focus CZ 2024 alum Tomáš Hodan, in collaboration with producer Jakub Kraus / Bontonfilm Studios.
Support from the Czech Audiovisual Fund for series projects
MIDPOINT also congratulates its series-program alumni on receiving financial support from the Czech Audiovisual Fund for projects developed within our programs.
Congratulations to our newest Series Launch 2025 alumni, screenwriter Matěj Randár and producer Karolína Zalabáková, on the support for their project 25% - series about the housing crisis from the perspective of young people.
We also celebrate Smash Cut 2024 alumni, screenwriters Barbora Bereznáková and Arne Kohlweyer, for securing support for Slavic Science.
And we are equally proud of Casting, presented at Homecoming 2025 by alumni Natália Pavlove and Jan Cerný who received funding as well.
