The protagonist, Oscar, is an archetypal homo corporatus who hosts the most popular TV show in the country.
None of his viewers know that, in reality, Oscar is a desperately lonely man who longs to die. But in this world, dying is very difficult. If Oscar wants to die, he needs to quit his job with the Corporate. In order to do that, he needs a rubber stamp approving his transition to the ‘terminal state’, and in order to get the stamp... In the end he faces the final question: Am I immortal or am I dead?
