In a working-class Bucharest neighborhood, the summer after 10th grade marks a slow unraveling between Yasmina and Elena, two best friends who grew up like sisters. Elena, burdened by a looming math retake and financial strain, takes a job at Yasmina’s family restaurant, where she spends more time with Yasmina’s older brother, Sami. Elena begins tutoring sessions and befriends Andreea, a sincere but clueless well-off schoolmate. Yasmina, quieter but restless, builds an online gaming account as a creative outlet and connects with Ilinca, a bold new friend. When Elena loses her virginity to Sami in a vulnerable moment, it fractures their friendship. It’s not just the sex, it’s Elena growing and Yasmina feeling left behind. As summer goes on, both change in ways they don’t fully understand. It's exam day and when Elena exits the school she finds Yasmina waiting on a bench nearby. It’s sign that growing apart doesn’t always mean letting go.
