Zeynep Köprülü graduated from Istanbul Galatasaray University faculty of communication. She then pursued her master's at Istanbul Bilgi University on Film & TV and attended FAMU in Prague for a year with Erasmus Scholarship. After her graduation, while pursuing her career in filmmaking she also worked in the film industry on various international movies. Since 2008 she directed and produced various short films and documentaries, which were screened in many national and international film festivals. She then founded Periferi Film where she continues to work as a director and producer.
