Tomasz Habowski - director and screenwriter. He studied Law and Culture Studies and completed a directing course and a screenwriting course at the Wajda School. As a screenwriter, he has worked for broadcasters such as TVN, Netflix, TVP, Canal+, and other online platforms (he was a screenwriter for the entertainment show SNL Polska). He made his big-screen directorial debut in 2021 with the film Songs About Love (Piosenki o milosci). The film was well-received by critics and audiences (often named by the press as the biggest Polish box office surprise of 2022). It also garnered several awards, including Award in the Microbudget Film Competition at the 46th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia 2021, Grand Prize in the Polish Feature Film Competition at the Krakow International Independent Cinema Festival Off Camera, Best Director Award at the 41st Koszalin Debut Film Festival Młodzi i Film, Grand Prize for Screenplay at the 11th edition of the Scriptfiesta festival.
