Simona was born on June 22nd 1988.
She studied Finance at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest and used to work in the field for 8 years before deciding to take a leap of faith and follow her dream of becoming a filmmaker.
The first steps towards this path were made when she participated at a scriptwriting seminar hosted by Fundatia Calea Victoriei. After that, she started attending the Sunday School classes on Film Directing, held by professor Laurentiu Damian at “I.L. Caragiale” National University of Theatre and Film. From that point on she decided to leave her job at Raiffeisen Bank and dedicate her entire time to filmmaking.
She is currently studying Film Directing at the National University of Theatre and Film “I.L. Caragiale” in Bucharest and looking forward to discover the best ways of using the film language in telling great stories.
