Rahela Jagrič Pirc is a director/writer from Slovenia. She earned master’s degree in film and TV directing at Bournemouth University (UK) in 2009. Since then, she has been working in numerous worldwide productions from Europe to USA, Canada, New Zealand, Japan... and has attended various artist residencies and film labs, such as Berlinale Talents, Reykjavik Talent Lab, Kyoto Film Lab, New York Artist Residency, Ingmar Bergman artist residency, UGC Writer's Campus at Series Mania in France, got Nipkow fellowship (Germany), and has also become a voting member of the European Film Academy. In 2021 Rahela directed and co-wrote her first feature film "The Space Among Us", which was awarded at festivals in abroad and in Slovenia. For the last 5 years, Rahela has been working as director on the most watched TV series in Slovenia, called "Hidden in Paradise" and from 2024 works as an episodic director on TV Series "Shadows of the Past". In 2025 Rahela started working as director on a new Slovenian series called "Restless Blood". In 2025 she also received a funding from Slovenian Film Centre for a documentary series "Elderly Upstairs, Young Downstairs", for which she has written a script and is also directing it. Rahela is also in development of her 2nd feature film, a musical hybrid called "Carving Dreams", which she started developing in 2025 at the HerArts script writing lab in Italy.
