Matěj Paclík is a Prague-based film producer and director. He is the founder of Breathless Films, where he produced the award-winning feature Our Lovely Pig Slaughter by Adam Martinec, which premiered in the Crystal Globe Competition at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and received a Special Mention.
A graduate of FAMU’s Production Department, he is currently enrolled in a Daseinanalytic Psychotherapeutic Training at the Prague College of Psychosocial Studies, an experience that informs his creative and collaborative approach.
Matěj oversees Breathless Films’ growing slate of fiction and documentary projects, supporting emerging voices and developing internationally oriented stories across Central Europe. Beyond film production, he is also developing KOKINO, a start-up aimed at reconnecting audiences with cinemas and distributors by bringing both independent and classic films back to the big screen.
