Maria Brovka graduated as a producer (Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts), and studied for a master's degree in Philosophy (Kyiv National University).
She is the executive producer of the series Burying the Ex (2025) for the Ukrainian streaming platform Sweet.tv, that is nominated for the National Film Academy award (Zolota Dzyga), and the line producer of the short film Thoughts on Peace in an Air Raid which premiered at Rotterdam Film Festival and Sarajevo Film Festival. She also produced the short film The Sun, which opened the Palm Springs International ShortFest and won Best Screenplay at the Short Com Film Festival.
Maria is also a production assistant on Where Everything Disappears by Phalanstery Films, commissioned by ARTE and premiered at FIPADOC.
She is currently in post production with director Nika Krykun on the short film Memoria, which explores dementia and intergenerational memory.
