Margarita Amineva-Jester
Margarita Amineva-Jester is the founder of the Berlin-based production company Voices Films, which she has run since 2022. She has a background in philology, TV journalism, and film studies. She studied at the DFFB from 2012 to 2019, including an exchange at Columbia University and an internship at Autlook Filmsales in Vienna. She is an alumna of MIDPOINT, the Zurich Film Festival Talent Program, the Up-and-Coming Producers programme at the Brussels International Film Festival, Cutting Edge, and East-West Talent Labs. Her filmography features award-winning short films such as Land of Glory (German Short Film Award), I Want to Return Return Return (Cannes Film Festival Award, German Film Critics’ Award), and Bull’s Heart (German Short Film Award nomination). In 2026, she released her first fiction feature, Mambo Maternica, and is currently producing several fiction and documentary projects, including the series Not My Circus.
