As Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg alumni, Laudika Hamutenya is a Namibian filmmaker, whose work explores the inner lives of African youth. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Writing and Directing from ADFA Cape Town. To date, he has written 13 screenplays and directed 12 films, with projects produced in Namibia, South Africa, and Germany, which includes Lauf, a psychological thriller. Across his films, Laudika uses storytelling to interrogate masculinity, queerness, and vulnerability, creating space for reflection, dialogue, and emotional honesty.
