Jernej Kastelec is a filmmaker from Slovenia. His documentary films produced by TV Slovenia and EBU were shown in many countries around Europe. His short documentary Home, Sweet Home received Diversify TV’s Excellence Award at Mipcom Cannes in 2017. He graduated from the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana. His student film A Chat with Pika was awarded by Bronze Dinosaur Award at the International Film Festival Etiuda & Anima 2008 in Kraków. Jernej teaches filmmaking at artistic schools in Slovenia and at different film workshops in Slovenia and abroad. He is a member of the Directors Guild of Slovenia. He is currently preparing his full-length debut with a working title Horses which explores a father-son relationship in its darkest and the brightest shades.
