Ermins Baltais, born 1992 in Dobele, Latvia, studied in Jelgava Spidola Gymnasium. After graduation spent year studying social sciences in Latvian University, afterwards moving to Tallinn to study audiovisual media, graduating four years later. With his graduation work short film “Pobeda” received highest university award and was shortlisted in best cinematography work in Camerimage festival in Poland. Following years worked with multiple production companies across the Europe on different type of projects in camera department, finally making his debuted as director with a short film “Gently Into The Night” that he also wrote.
