Angela Dimeska
Angela Dimeska is a Macedonian screenwriter and director working across fiction, documentary, and commercial filmmaking. With an academic background in psychology and anthropology, her work is driven by a deep interest in intimacy, identity and the emotional dynamics that shape relationships. Her short films Wigs (2021) and Boxes (2023) have been shown internationally, with Boxes screening at FEST, New Directors/New Films (Portugal), In the Palace (Bulgaria), and Alexandria International Short Film Festival (Egypt). She is currently in preproduction of her third short film, The Day the Music Died, supported by the North Macedonian Film Agency produced by Kontrast Film, and is developing her debut feature film, They Bloom at Dawn. A 2025 HER Frame finalist and 2024 Basta Pitch participant, she merges artistry with social awareness, co-organising Komshilook, a volunteer art festival bringing culture to Skopje’s peripheries.
