Adrian Bihary

Profession: DirectorWriter
Country: Slovakia

Adrián Biháry is a Slovak screenwriter from Trnava. A graduate of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, he has written several short films, including Nights and Days (dir. Daniela Sláviková, 2024), which received a Jury Mention at BEAST IFF and was screened at many festivals, including Pöff Shorts, Kyiv International Short FF and Music & Cinema Marseille. His latest short Death in a White Shirt (dir. Siraj Sharma, 2026), produced by FAMU, tells a bitter story about romanihood, family and grief. Adrian’s work centres on young people navigating identity and belonging, often shaped by minority experience and social tensions. Drawn to mixing the intimacy of drama with beauty of genre, he sees cinema as a space where urgent subjects can be told with both emotional precision and audience appeal. He’s currently writing the feature films Crows based on the novel by Petra Dvořáková (prod. Silverart) and a queer dramedy that will be directed by Igor Smitka (prod. CLAW films).
