Tyrannosaur

On a forgotten Romani neighbourhood, thirteen-year-old Cyril is spending the summer with a group of local boys learning what it means to be a “real man in the real world”. The endless days are filled with scuffles, fistfights, and the intoxicating freedom of roaming between concrete apartment blocks and a near railway track that leads to somewhere beyond the limits of everything they know. But the only thing that Cyril truly wants is to be like Berci: the charismatic and admired fifteen-year-old king of the neighbourhood. 

When Berci leaves for a few days, he entrusts Cyril with his place at the top of the boys' pecking order. For the first time in his life, Cyril gets a taste of power.

As the blazing summer sun sinks below the horizon and darkness settles over the neighbourhood, childish horseplay begins to transform into something far more dangerous – a ruthless game of dominance, where the seemingly random target is Cyril’s neighbour, a lonely boy his own age.
