Agustín Balbi Gotusso (Argentina, 1989) is an actor, screenwriter and director. He holds a BA in Theatre from the National University of Córdoba (2014) and completed a Master’s in Theatre Studies at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and Institut del Teatre (2017). He has trained with renowned artists including Mauricio Kartun, Sergio Blanco, Assumpta Serna and Fernanda Orazi. His film work includes Los Hipócritas (2019) and Los Besos (2015). Now based in Madrid, he is co-founder of Manto Films, where he co-developed El canto del cisne (2023), La próxima vez and Oropel (2024). These films have received awards and international festival recognition, including In the Palace (Oscar-qualifying), Cinemundo, and Madrid Film Festival. In 2024, Lucía at the Window won First Prize at Filmer Forge and was selected for MIDPOINT Institute 2025–2026. He is currently developing the feature Existencia en retiro.
