There's Something Really Wrong with Our Baby
A young couple's picture-perfect pregnancy curdles into a nightmare when the mother becomes convinced that what's growing inside her isn't a baby, but a cockroach. Worse still, no one around her, not even the father, seems to mind.
Mother (35) and her partner are expecting their first, long-awaited child. Their peaceful life is disrupted by Mother’s growing anxiety that something is wrong with the baby she carries. At first she cannot define it, until she hears a sound like the clicking of an insect, coming from inside her abdomen. Alarmed, she tries to tell her partner, but he dismisses it as stress and hormones.
As the symptoms intensify, a medical examination confirms her worst fear: instead of a baby, a cockroach is developing inside of her. The reactions around her are absurdly calm: doctors treat it as a medical curiosity, and her partner considers raising the "child" regardless.
Left alone with the problem, overwhelmed by the expectations surrounding motherhood, Mother makes a desperate decision: to perform the procedure herself, and extract the creature from her own body.
