Beata (65) returns to Provence, haunted by the life she abandoned when pregnancy brought her home to Poland. Now her daughter Aneta's (43) engagement celebration forces the family to confront their compromises. As forest fires approach and helicopters drain the pool Beata dreamed of, the avoidance is over. When her husband climbs into the empty pool and mimes swimming, absurdity becomes their salvation - a family finally honest enough to be ridiculous together.
