Nathalie, a once‑idealistic academic, now burnt‑out, takes over her aunt’s gas station, near the Austrian-Czech border, as a last resort to gain financial stability. The superficial calm and everyday monotony actually masks a portal for the “wish-exchange”: an anarchictransfer system, located in the trash bin between the gas pumps, which serves as the exchange spot for personal desires between ordinary people. Its use is simple: You either throw a wish in or you take one out. Without fixed rules, the system survives as an old open secret that only few dare to put into practice - but when executed can transcend borders: personal, political, and geographic. As Nathalie develops growing concerns towards her new home, aunt Susi and husband Geri make sure she keeps running the station smoothly, so the "wish-exchange" is preserved.
