Una Gunjak is a director born in 1996 in Sarajevo, who currently lives in Paris. She studied film studies in Italy and film editing at the NTFS (National Film and TV School) in Great Britain. Her short film The Chicken, which premiered at Cannes Film Critics Week, won the European Film Academy Award for Best Short Film in 2014. It was shown at 270 festivals in total, including Sundance Film Festival, New Films and New Directors, and won 70 awards altogether. Her short film Salamat from Germany was screened at the opening of the Directors’ Week of the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. Una’s feature film project Alfa, selected for Cinéfondation Residence, won the Torino Film Lab (Feature Lab) Production Award. Una is currently in post-production of her first feature film Excursion.
