Roman Volosevych
Roman Volosevych is a Ukrainian director and screenwriter. He studied at the Karpenko-Karyi Kyiv National University of Theatre, Cinema and Television, where he earned a bachelor's degree in feature film directing. His early short films received recognition at festivals: Velial (2016) won the Prolog International Short Film Festival and was included in the Molodist Film Festival program, while Beasts (2019) was nominated in the Molodist national competition. As a screenwriter, Roman was shortlisted for the Kinoscript competition with his project Creature (2019) and also worked on the films Sad Portraits (2020) and December 92nd (2021).
In 2019–2024, he actively developed his collaboration with the band The Unsleeping, creating a series of music videos, including People All Around, Ptaha Fred, Live, and the visual design for the album Real Bedroom Punk (2024).
Currently in festival distribution is the short film In Her Arms (2025), on which he also worked as a co-writer. Volosevich's works combine attention to the psychological depth of characters and expressive visuals, and his creative path demonstrates an organic combination of auteur cinema and music videos.
