Natalia Suprun
Director and screenwriter. Graduate of the I. K. Karpenko-Kary Kyiv National University of Theatre, Cinema and Television (fiction film directing). Experience includes work on film sets in Kyiv and New York. Participant of the Terrarium screenwriting intensive (2021).
Over the past few years, developing the project “Cinema and Mazanka”, which focuses on the revitalization and restoration of traditional Ukrainian rural architecture, video essay practice, and a critical rethinking of stereotypes about village life and mazankas.
The work is characterized by a combination of drama, irony, and impressionistic elements.
Recently completed the short fiction film “Zaviaz”, a poetic coming-of-age story about a teenage girl living on a remote homestead in the forest. Currently developing the debut feature screenplay, the poetic drama.
