Mirona Radu was born on 12 November 1986 in Bucharest, Romania. She graduated the School of Film and Television, specialization Directing Film and TV at Andrei Blaier’s class and the Francisc Mraz School of Photography in 2009.
The last shortfilm named “Ana”, made in 2013, was selected in Cannes Film Festival, in the programme called Romanian Short Waves, at the Begging International Film Festival from Sankt Petersburg and Filmini Festival from Sofia, participating in the section The Best Balcanic Shortfilm.
She worked as first assistant director at Filmex Film Company in the last two years, in 5 features films. She is also in pre production with her own documentary, named Alone Together. She participated last year in IDFA Academy and Maia Workshops with that project.
