For this upcoming edition, we're excited to reveal that we're expanding the capacity for selected projects, doubling the opportunities available!
MIDPOINT Shorts offer:
✺ Creative development
✺ Structural dramaturgy
✺ Distribution and festival strategies
✺ Presentation skills and promotion
Workshop Tutors:
✺ Group Leader Script Consultant Pavel Marek
✺ Group Leader Script Consultant Gabriele Brunnenmeyer
✺ Producer Tutor Dora Nedeczky
Selection Process:
1. Online Feedback Session: approx. twenty shortlisted projects will receive online assessments from script consultants and the producer tutor.
2. After the Online Feedback Session, the final 8 projects will be selected for the main Shorts program, which consists of two residential workshops and a project showcase during When East Meets West!

✺ Workshop 1 | September 30 - October 6, 2024 | Brno, Czech Republic | in collaboration with ISFF BRNO16
✺ Workshop 2 | January 16 - 22, 2025 | Trieste, Italy | in collaboration with When East Meets West and Trieste Film Festival
Fee:
✺ 40 EUR – Online Feedback Session per project
✺ 800 EUR – Workshop 1+2 per participant
