Merja Ritola is a Finnish producer and CEO of Greenlit Productions with over 25 years of experience in international film and television. Since 2000, she has worked on more than 45 productions, including Iron Sky, Jade Warrior and Man’s Job, producing over 24 fiction and documentary films. Her credits include the Jussi Award-winning The Seamstress, Warsaw IFF winner Putting Lipstick on a Pig, European Film Awards shortlisted The Other Side of the River (winner of the German Film Award LOLA and Grimme Award), and The Voice of Sokurov. A member of the European Film Academy since 2024, she recently completed Lex Julia, is in post-production with The Seal Mother, and is developing the international co-production Northern Lights.
