Luka Marčetić (1985) was born in Zagreb, Croatia, and moved to Slovenia at 15, where he completed the School of Economics and Commerce and later graduated from the Institute and Academy of Multimedia. Early on, he developed Flash games with international reach, which took him to Irvine, California, to work with two startups before returning to Slovenia. He created a popular web series Day of Love (2010) and three seasons of the TV show Paired Up (2015-2019). His latest, more festival focused feature, Girl in the Night (2026), which he wrote and directed, won the main prize in the Works in Progress section at the Cottbus Film Festival. It recently finished post-production and is awaiting release.
