Reminiscence

Three years after her brother Yan (28) vanished in the war, Sasha (25)—haunted by a vision of a ball lightning—reluctantly returns from Kyiv to her hometown. There she finds Yan’s photos staged like a shrine and their mother speaking to his uniform. Unable to talk about it, Sasha wanders around town and reconnects with Slava (28), Yan’s childhood friend and a veteran with quiet PTSD. Their renewed bond unlocks memories she has long suppressed. When Sasha learns of mother’s plan to sell Yan’s preserved apartment—a place she dares not to enter—she fights to stop it, only deepening their rift. Slava’s attempted kiss shatters their connection, leaving Sasha isolated. As everything falls apart, Sasha tries to leave town but is drawn by ball lightning into Yan’s apartment. She confronts her loss and opens a fragile path toward reclaiming her life.
