Workshop 1 of Feature Launch 2021 takes off this week

After being made redundant from a well-paying corporate job, LILIAN (39) spends the night partying – and meets MONA (20), a sensual beauty who is her polar opposite – light-hearted and confident. For the first time in her life, Lilian desires a woman, but is hesitant to pursue her as her own self-esteem nosedives. Only after she is offered the job of managing the campaign of the first female prime ministerial candidate of Estonia, does Lilian dare to contact Mona again. Their relationship quickly moves from glamorous dates to everyday routine, however, when Mona suddenly appears at Lilian’s door with all her earthly belongings. Struggling with the pressure at work and her own past traumas, Lilian becomes less present but ever more controlling at home. Her candidate wins the election and she is offered a new job, but Lilian needs time to think – as Mona has disappeared. After weeks, she finally calls – from Italy, seven months pregnant, penniless, and terrified. Lilian goes to get her.
