Birute Kapustinskaite represents the young generation of Lithuanian filmmakers. She studied at Vilnius University and Lithuanian theatre and music academy. Birute attended several scriptwriting workshops, including Nisi Masa and MFI Script 2. Her play “Therapies” won Lithuanian theatre award for best play. Her short film „The Queen of England stole my parents“ got best short film award at Lithuanian film awards. Her first feature script “Sasha was here” is selected at POFF and her second one is in post-production. Her works usually combines drama with humour and hope.
