Wrong Time, Wrong Place

This film is inspired by a short story of Jeffery Deaver, which is also called Wrong Time, Wrong Place. We would like to change the title, but for now we use also original name. Me as a producer, I am in contact with author through organization Dilia and he agrees with adaptation of his work. Firstly I was working with young screenwriter from Famu- Jiri Koubek. Jiri Koubek and original director Jiri Vagner developed a detailed version of the script that we did not seem good enough and we realized it had considerable weaknesses. We felt that we chose the wrong path, so I contacted promising young director from FAMU Lubos Kucera, who is also right now the screenwriter of the story together with Adam Struhala, the main screenwriter. Based on the original story, production possibilities and necessary shift from American mountains to cultural Czech environment, we have established the genre as a thriller. We also developed a basic psychology and motivation of all five characters because we want to understand them, but after a discussion with script editors in Film Festival Jihlava 2014 we decided not to show too much. Furthermore, we set a time of the year when the story takes place, have identified locations for filming (Tanvadl and northern Bohemia) and other aspects (style shooting, technical aspects etc). It is supposed to be story about five different people at one place during one single day. Light inspiration to us are movies of the Coen brothers.
