Ukraine, current time. In a twist of fate, medical student Zhenia becomes an unwitting guide for souls after a shocking discovery at the morgue. Tasked with ushering the deceased to the afterlife, he grapples with his unexpected role, desperate to evade his newfound destiny.
Ukraine. In a busy hospital, a mysterious case emerges: a baby without a soul puzzles everyone. Zhenia, a lovesick med student, takes a morgue job to be able to ask out on a date Rita. But a tragic event changes his fate—he becomes a guide for lost souls. Overwhelmed by the bizarre encounters, especially with Rita, he discovers she's a lingering soul. Zhenia encounters the 'Other,' gathering souls. For love, he sacrifices part of his soul, losing his guiding role. As these experiences reshape him, Zhenia faces the true cost of his choices, altering his life forever. All this is happening against the background of the war in Ukraine.
