The Concierge
Lena, an exhausted concierge to the ultra-rich turns her humble Greek village into a rural labor camp for maligned nepo babies and ‘cancelled’ influencers who pay to suffer for social-media redemption.
Lena, a certified people pleaser and concierge to the ultra-rich, finally snaps at her most obnoxious client, Chloe, a maligned nepo baby, after her boyfriend dumps her for taking Chloe’s twelfth call while they make love. Fired and heartbroken, she retreats to her Greek village, only to be followed by Chloe, who insists Lena’s rejection was the first honest thing anyone has ever done for her. Chloe wants more rejection through humbling labor, inviting other maligned friends seeking meaning and online redemption. Lena lets the village use them as free labor, inventing a reverse-concierge service: pleasing by displeasing. But keeping it alive means displeasing those closest to her too. Meanwhile a local filming an agricultural documentary captures both the clients’ performative antics and the tragicomic reality. When his footage leaks, becoming a hit reality show, Lena must choose: abort mission to protect the village’s peace or save it from obscurity, by making it impossible to ignore.
