Glamping

Adam and Anna arrive for a weekend getaway in a secluded spot by the woods. Their carefully planned escape is disrupted by the arrival of a stranger, who pitches his tent a few dozen metres away. A series of seemingly inexplicable events gradually makes Adam suspect that their new neighbour is hiding something. Anna initially questions his concerns, but with each new incident, she begins to give more weight to Adam’s interpretation. Trying to find out who their neighbour is and what he is really doing there, they cross the boundaries of their own moral principles. Each new event only reinforces their belief that they are in danger. Eventually, they leave early, not only with a false idea of the stranger, but, above all, with a shaken sense of who they themselves are. Only after they leave does the audience discover that the stranger has been waiting for his family to arrive all along. He feels relieved to see them go. As his wife and children settle in, the roar of another approaching car signals a new arrival. The cycle of fear and projection begins again.
