Balkan Return

HANNAH is a devoted and successful UN lawyer. She works in New York, she will soon be getting married and on the top of all - her UN boss offers her a significant promotion. The post, however, requires Hannah to attend a three months' mission in the Balkans. She must also keep the promotion secret, because it breaks the UN staffing policy (other candidates won’t be reviewed). In Kosovo, she meets her Albanian assistant - BLERIM, her cynical boss - BERNDT and some of her UN mission colleagues. Very quickly she realizes, that the mission is not here to help anyone, and that her job is only to waste project money on expensive, pointless conferences and seminars. (excerpt)
